Monkey Business

Taking the hot and bumpy train again we arrived in the land of Loburi, where the monkeys roam free. Of course they were no where to be seen at first, making us wonder if this was really worth the stop. Here you see Phra Naral Ratchaniwet, our second museum stop of the day.
Yes, cats were part of the tour.
Our excursion to the bathroom lead to this entertaining find. The women's room would have to show squatting, as the place didn't have "western style" - ie sitting toilets.
We were lucky enough to arrive on the one day of the week that they had a street market. As you can see, Thai's are big into fried and dried whole fish.

The marketplace was covered in colorful umbrella's we could see from our guesthouse.
Our first siting of the monkeys. This one really wanted the empty drink container.
Prang San Yot, or the monkey hang out. All the monkeys were centralized here and there were a LOT.
Nick's first encounter with a monkey, this guy did not want to get down.
Night market view from Noom, our guesthouse.
Monkeys on the guesthouse sign in the morning. They kept running all over the roof when it was nice and cool in the morning.
Mommy with Baby monkey and many more monkey pictures.

San Phra Kan, the other monkey hang out. The town even put in ladders, a pool and feeding area to try and keep them out of the rest of the city.
The monkey took our drink, opened the bottle and chugged it down. Fortunately we didn't really miss our beverage as it tasted terrible. Who wants a wheat flavored sweet green tea?!
